Recent research is providing new insight into what determines individuals’ level of trust in artificial intelligence (AI). A team from the University of Kansas, which was led by relationship psychologist Omri Gillath, detailed how that relationship is impacted by the individuals’ real-life relationship or attachment style.

The team consisted of a variety of experts from different disciplines, such as psychology, engineering, business, and medicine.

New statewide chatbot, developed in partnership with AdmitHub, provides personalized guidance to help students navigate COVID-19 impact on college access and student success. High school students across the state of Texas have a new resource to guide them through the college application process, thanks to a public-private partnership announced today by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). The new initiative will tap AdmitHub’s pioneering technology to enable students to access ADVi, a conversational artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot that offers proactive, personalized guidance to help students navigate their way to and through college. ADVi can communicate with students 24/7 via text message, and if students need additional support, directs them to a cohort of live advisers who are trained and funded through a partnership with the College Advising Corps.

Although enterprise companies have ramped up the adoption of AI and advanced analytics in recent years, many of those initiatives remain as pilots only. According to one report, as of November 2019, 76% of C-suite executives claimed they struggled to scale AI investments despite acknowledging they are critical to their growth initiatives. AI is critical to advanced analytics, but neither has been included in most mainstream operations.
